Eilish Kelly (Consultant/Manager, Quality & Compliance at PharmaLex)

Eilish Kelly Spotlight

What has your career path looked like to date?

I have over 20 years’ experience working with regulated licenced sites in the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical (solid oral dosage & API) industry.

After I graduated, BSc in Chemistry & Maths, I started in working in Quality Control in an API plant, moving across roles in QC API release, QC validation & analytical development.

Then I moved into a compliance initiative focusing on analytical & process validation and training. From there into Quality Assurance for a new product & facility which lead to providing QA support to manufacturing & quality control. I qualified as a QP during this time. Most recently I have worked in a biopharmaceutical facility, in a QA function supporting manufacturing, engineering, QC and warehouse with QP batch release activities involved too. This involved start up, scaleup and into approval for commercialisation.

I have extensive experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Control Systems, GMP manufacturing, Equipment & Utilities Validation, Manufacturing Support, QP Batch Release and Data Integrity controls. I now work as a Pharmaceutical Consultant with PharmaLex and in this capacity I provide Quality and Compliance support to a variety of Pharmaceutical businesses.
