Welcome to the team – Michael Makris
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics, I started my career in sales over 25 years ago. My experience led me to work in various senior sales roles, including a Telecoms provider, an IT hardware vendor, and a Internet Service Provider. I spent 2 years in the UAE, providing IT ‘professional services’ as part of the middle eastern division of a major global IT vendor.
In 2010, I decided on a change in trajectory, transferring my sales skills to the world of pharmaceutical solution providers, based out of the UK. I have since gained over 10 years’ experience, positioning pharmaceutical intelligence, product solutions and services to pharma and biotech companies across EMEA, working with a range of client departments, including IP, Commercial, Portfolio Development, Business Intelligence, Analytics, R&D , Regulatory, Forecasting, Finance and Purchasing.

Invest in bricks & mortar, as much as possible and as early as possible!
Past experiences inspire me, where I try to take the “good” from the bad and use this in the present, to try and achieve even more. The fact that something is achievable also inspires me to get up every morning. Sales can be a very challenging career, but for me, challenging yourself constantly and pushing yourself, is inspiring.
