TRAC Services, part of PharmaLex UK, has reached a truly remarkable milestone. In 2005, they started donating £20 to local charities and clubs for every volunteer who took part in their Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) user testing programme. In September 2018, they reached a total of £40,000!
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has always been important to TRAC and the wider PharmaLex Group. We are committed to proactively supporting the community within which we are based. It also provides an opportunity for the team to develop new skills or support initiatives that are important to them. We donate to, mainly local non-profit organisations, in exchange for them providing people to take part in user testing for our clients. We have donated over £40,000 since we started to provide this service. The team also regularly support other activities such as beach cleans, volunteering time to support charities and making and delivering collections for local food banks, particularly at Christmas.
We are particularly fond of a cake sale at TRAC, as it’s a great way to raise money and we have a lot of keen bakers. Finally, we also encourage everyone to consider donating blood and give them time off to do so. We definitely started small but our ideas, activities and impact have definitely grown over the years and everyone in the team is committed to making a contribution.
Examples of charities/clubs that have benefited from TRAC’s support: RNLI, Children’s Hospice South West, Cornwall Powerchair Football Club, Camborne and Redruth District Lions Club, Hayle Surf Life Saving, Cancer Research.
